A Note from the Smile Tea Bar Co-Op

Smile is currently undergoing a change. After 4 years creating and running Smile Tea Bar on his own, founder West has chosen to step down.

Of course, the first concern was about the community that has grown over the years. If you have spent time in the lounge, you know that Smile is made up of an amazing group of individuals who have become the backbone of this safe space. We wanted to make sure that our community continues to have a safe, sober space to convene.

Therefore, we have decided to take on Smile as a community.

Until January, we will be holding meetings and discussing what the future of Smile will look like. Smile will be run as-usual by volunteers for the remainder of 2025. Tea will continue to be $9 and sodas $3 to keep the bills paid, and additional donations will be very much appreciated. As we transition from a business to a co-op, please know that your money will go right back into making sure the community thrives.
